Historic Pella Trust is hosting a celebration of the completion of the Tuttle Learning Walkway. Executive Director Jennifer Van Kooten says the project was fundraised for by the historic preservation organization and is operated in conjunction with the City of Pella, and it connects the Sunken Gardens pond and park to the Historic Tuttle Cabin on Lincoln Street. Along the brick path are signs detailing Pella’s founding and early history, with benches dedicated by donors and landscaping featuring various plants, including some native to Pella before it was a city. On Saturday, September 25th at 10:30 a.m., Historic Pella Trust will host a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony for the Tuttle Learning Walkway. The cabin will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for tours as well.
