The prospective maps for the Iowa Legislature and House of Representatives Districts have been released by the nonpartisan Legislative Services Agency, with several changes for Warren County.

Warren County is currently represented by State Senator Julian Garrett in Senate District 13 which encompasses Warren and Madison Counties, but will now be changed to Senate District 11 which is all of Warren County, the majority of Lucas County, and the eastern half of Clarke County.

Warren County for the past decade was split between House District 25 and 26, and a small portion of the northwest corner in District 42, and will now be House District 21 which includes the north and eastern portion with Indianola, Carlisle, Milo, and Lacona, while House District 22 includes the rest of Warren County with Norwalk, Martensdale, New Virginia, and Liberty Center, and extending down into portions of Lucas and Clarke Counties.

A special session of the Iowa Legislature will be convened on October 5th to either approve or reject the new map. Find an interactive map of the redistricting proposal below.
