Titus Cram’s four rushing touchdowns propelled Bondurant-Farrar to a 28-17 victory over the Pella football team in a game heard live last night on 92.1 KRLS.

The Dutch never led in the game, falling behind 7-0 on Cram’s first TD early in the second quarter.  After Aiden Pollock answered with a 6-yard run following a Bluejay fumble, Cram punched in another score just before the half.

Special teams kept Pella in the game in the third quarter, with Luke Hardman nailing a 50-yard field and Kenson Fuller returning a kickoff for a touchdown, but Cram scored two more times in the second half as Bondurant-Farrar kept Pella at arms length.

Dutch coach Jay McKinstrey said that his team had chances, and he appreciates the effort, but it just wasn’t quite enough against the 7th-ranked Bluejays.

“I mean we’re right there and we’re close and we’re trying to get the game turned around.  And right when we got back in it, give Bondurant credit because they converted a third and 15 and a couple of other big plays.  It’s challenging to keep yourself in it when those things happen, but I just think that our kids are fighters.”

The Dutch drop to 1-3 on the season and will open district play next Friday night at 4-0 number 10 Newton.
