The #11 Pella volleyball team returns to conference action after a week away from the court competitively as they trek west to Dallas Center-Grimes this evening.

Pella is coming off of a 3-1 win over then #4 ranked Oskaloosa, which gives the Dutch a likely path to a top-two seed in the conference tournament and an opportunity to win the regular season title, despite an opening loss to #13 Indianola, especially with the Mustangs, Grinnell, and Pella Christian remaining on their schedule — all three teams are in the bottom half of the conference standings heading into tonight’s action.

DCG is 8-13 overall, seemingly with a roster far removed from a streak of recent success that included two state tournament appearances in the past three seasons, including 2020. However, Pella Senior Bailey Van Voorst knows better than to take any conference foe lightly, especially knowing the great tradition the DCG program carries.

The historical series is 8-8 between Pella and DCG; however, the Mustangs have won four in a row dating back to 2018. First serve for varsity action is at DCG Meadows High School at 7:15 p.m. and the match can be watched on the DCGTV YouTube channel.
