Knoxville High School Golfer Evan Smith has been awarded the Iowa PGA Junior Tour Player of the Year in the 14-15 age group. Smith played in 17 Iowa PGA events this season with 16 top ten finishes and three first place finishes, winning the Iowa PGA Junior Spring Series, Principal Charity Classic Junior Open, and the Western Iowa Junior. This past spring he led the Panther Boys Golf Squad to the class 3A State Meet ultimately finishing in 6th place as a team and Smith finished 8th as an individual. He was also the boys 11 and under Player of the Year in 2016 and 2017, and also the Boys 12-13 year old Player of the Year in both 2018 and 2019.
