The Simpson football team fell to Loras Saturday afternoon 21-13 in a game heard live on 94.3 KNIA. The Storm scored on their first possession on a Brett Bobinet to Reed Worth 48-yard score to take a 7-0 lead, then kept the lead despite a Loras touchdown on a missed extra point. With the offense struggling, the Storm defense held the Duhawks to two field goals in the red zone in the first half falling behind 12-7, but a 30-yard touchdown scamper from Desmond Alexander put the Storm back in front at halftime 13-12 after Simpson missed their own point after. That would be all the offense the Storm would muster however, giving up another touchdown to the Duhawks, who failed the two-point conversion, and after multiple attempts on offense to score, Loras added another field goal and suffocated the Storm to earn the win. Simpson is now 0-5 on the season, and host Luther next Saturday at Buxton Stadium.
