The Norwalk cross country teams have another longer road trip today, this time to Fort Dodge. The Warriors will join a large group of schools at the site of the state meet for a regular season race. Junior Donovan Card says there’s a few areas of improvement he and his teammates need to make as they tune up for the district meet.

“We need to fix our pack a little bit. I feel like the last two meets, we’ve been lacking. As soon as we get that fixed and we start running more consistently, we’ll be up there with those top teams.”

Card is ranked #29 individually in Class 4A, while the Warriors as a team are #7. Also checking into this week’s rankings is junior girls runner Breelie Mauro at #27. The first race of the day begins at 4:30 p.m. at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course in Fort Dodge.
