The Pella Police Department is continuing to raise funds for their new K-9 unit. A fundraiser will be held on Monday, October 18th from 10:00 am-3:00 pm. A take-out or dine-in lunch with traditional or white chicken chili, cornbread, cinnamon roll, and a drink (tea, water or pop) will be available to order for $10 per plate. Captain Paul Haase says all proceeds benefit the K-9 unit for the Pella Police Department. The Pella Police Department is working toward getting their fundraising goal completed soon to add the unit and have it trained.
