Indianola Parks and Rec is hosting local author and KNIA/KRLS Radio News Editor Dr. Robert Leonard today as part of their next Afternoon Adventures Speaker Series. Dr. Bob is speaking on his book Deep Midwest, a collection of thought-provoking poems and heart-felt prose of observations that bring laughter and sympathy amid appreciation for what we take for granted. Pageturners bookstore will have copies of Deep Midwest available for purchase and Dr. Bob will be available for book-signing. The program will run from 1-2pm at the Indianola Activity Center, and is free to attend; however reservations are requested.
