The 2021 All-State Football selections were released, and PCM was well-represented among the best in Class 2A as six players were selected.

There were four Mustangs selected for Second-Team All-State, including two on offense, one on defense, and one on special teams. Making Second-Team All-State on offense were Aidan Anderson and Carson Vandelune. Anderson missed the first two games of the season recovering from his broken leg, but still was productive, accumulating 1,019 total yards and nine touchdowns.

Vandelune was a utility player on offense for PCM, taking most of his snaps at quarterback. He finished with 748 passing yards, ten touchdowns, and seven interceptions. Vandelune also had 96 rushing yards and 99 receiving yards in 2021. Making Second-Team on defense as a defensive lineman was Durant Van Dyke. Van Dyke fought through a thumb injury to register 27 tackles, five for a loss, one sack, and one fumble recovery. Finally, on special teams, Tyler Kuecker made Second-Team as a punter, averaging 34 yards per punt for PCM.

The Mustangs also had two players make Third-Team All-State, with both of them being linemen. Making Third-Team as an offensive lineman was Aydan Camu, who was a fantastic run-blocker for PCM’s running backs. Making Third-Team as a defensive lineman was Donovan Nickelson. Nickelson finished 2021 with 36.5 tackles, a team-leading 13 of them for a loss, and one fumble recovery.

PCM finished the 2021 season with a 5-5 overall record with a 3-2 record in Class 2A District 7 play. The Mustangs lost in the second round of the playoffs to Williamsburg.
