Emergency crews responded to the scene of an accident in the 300 block of Lisbon Street south of Pleasantville Wednesday morning. A farm tractor and implement attempted to go under a railroad overpass, but was too tall for the 12-foot clearance and collided with the bridge. The driver was transported by Mercy Helicopter for injuries, but was conscious. The road is temporarily closed to allow Union Pacific Railroad officials to inspect the integrity of the bridge.

Assisting agencies included Pleasantville Emergency Services, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Knoxville Fire & Rescue, Pleasantville Police Department, Marion County Emergency Management, Marion County Road Department, and possibly other agencies.
