The Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad concludes its uneven and unusual week of play with a home game against Oskaloosa. The Panthers won on the road against Van Meter on Thursday night and are coming in at 2-0 on the season. One of the keys to the start for the Panthers is their effort on defense. Coach Matt Ritchhart says the new defensive scheme is getting a lot of buy in and the girls are playing well.

Ritchhart: “Larissa Wells and Brittany Bacorn are always on top and they’re buying into that plus Charlee Heffron and Ciara are playing what we call the Bear position and to their credit their effort has been outstanding.”

Oskaloosa has been a steadily improving program and Ritchhart adds with a lot of height, the Indians will be a difficult match up. Listen for live coverage on 95.3 KNIA with the pregame starting at 2:30 audio will also be provided on the KHS Activities You Tube Channel.
