The Pella Christian girls basketball team graduated three seniors from last year’s squad. While the Eagles have tried to match their production, leadership was something the Eagles needed with no seniors on the team this year. The Eagles have six juniors who have been tasked with becoming the leaders for the team this season. Junior Karlie Anderson said that the juniors have relied on each other to lead the team, especially with the tough competition they face.

“It’s been a good opportunity for all six of us to step up and take on that leadership role all together. Obviously on the court, we are all very young and still don’t have much varsity experience, so that’s been a new transition for all of us. Our goal is just to come out, have a good time with our teammates, get better, and see if we can play spoiler on some of these teams.”
