The Grand Theater in Knoxville will host local artist Brian Herrin for “A Grand New Year’s Eve” tonight, an event sponsored by the McKay Group. Grand Theater Director Jocelyn Fee says this is an effort to bring downtown Knoxville to life on the holiday.
“On New Year’s Eve in Knoxville, there’s not a lot going on. We’ve got a lot of small communities around us where you have to go an hour away to hear live music, to see something interesting, and we want to change that. We want to bring it downtown to a small place. We have restaurants, drink spots, lots of great things going on, and we want to bring more people here.”
Shows will be held at 7:00 and 8:45 p.m. in the Grand Theater. The cost is $10 for one show and $15 for both shows. Tickets are available at the Grand Theater box office.
