While the first projects approved as part of the Pella School District bond measure will start early in 2022, the major initiatives will take some time to get started.

Pella Schools Superintendent Greg Ebeling says the Early Childhood Center — essentially a large addition of preschool classrooms and space, will break ground sometime in the fall of 2022, with the goal of final completion in time for the first class of students in the 2024-25 academic year.

New bleachers, restrooms, and press box facilities will be installed in the spring into summer of 2023, which is also the timeline for the new Jefferson Intermediate School to Pella Middle School addition. Renovation of those two buildings will follow in 2024, based on initial plans.
