The Knoxville Wrestling Squad will get back on the mats tonight with a South Central Conference Quad at Albia. Chariton and Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont will join the Panthers tonight. The Panthers stand at 5-1 in duals and 2-0 in conference duals. They also placed 2nd at the South Central Conference Meet in December and Coach Skylar Spaur tells KNIA/KRLS Sports his guys are ready to take the fight to their opponents.
Spaur: “They’re hungary and they’re young. We have some small things to fine tune and they like a fight, they want to bring the fight as opposed to someone bringing the fight to them.”
Five wrestlers are leading the way for the Panthers, Marco Alejo at 113 pounds, who is 16-2, Triston Sinnard at 126 pounds has compiled a 15-5 record while Luke Spaur is 18-0 at 132 pounds and is currently ranked 11th in the latest iowawrestle.com poll, Chaz Graves at 145 pounds sports a 14-6 record, and Kale Kincaid is 15-7 at 152 pounds.
