pleasantville-3

The first triangular of 2022 for Pleasantville’s wrestling squad takes place tonight as the Trojans travel to Interstate-35.

The Trojans are coming off finishing second behind Pella in the PCM Mustangs Invitational Saturday, with Cale Cook winning his weight at 126 lbs. Pleasantville’s dual record in 2022 is 3-0, with them sweeping a quadrangular with Colfax-Mingo, BGM, and Montezuma. In this triangular, Pleasantville will go up against the host and Wayne. Coach Heath DeForest tells KNIA Sports that with the final few meets of the season coming, he is confident in how deep his team is.

“It’s January. It’s always a grind in January. Nobody is going to be fully healthy when it is all said and done. We have some kids that are still nicked and banged up, but like I said, we are blessed with a little bit of depth and whoever we put out there and puts their toe on the line we’d be really happy with the way they have been competing.”

DeForest’s Trojans take the mats at Interstate-35 tonight at 5:30 PM.
