Twin Cedars heads to Seymour for a basketball double header tonight. The girls are looking to break a two game losing streak and had their last two scheduled games called off due to the weekend winter storm. The boys will be playing a Seymour squad that is 6-5 on the season but has dropped its last two games. Sabers Coach Brad McWilliams tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he wants to see more of his guys step up their scoring and not rely on one player to score their points.

McWilliams: “We need those other guys to get confidence. We’ve had games where Kail Arkema has played well, Dallas Clark has played well. We just need more of those guys to score rather than relying on one player.”

That one for the most part has been Devin Arkema, who averages 24.4 points per game, but no one else is in double figures. McWilliams adds teams are now starting to throw junk defenses like box-in-one or triangle-and-two to limit Arkema. McWillams says the other guys just need more confidence when shooting and putting points on the board. Game time is at 6:00 for the girls with the boys to follow.
