The Central College track and field teams traveled to Nebraska Wesleyan Friday to compete at the Prairie Wolf Invitational. There were no team scores among the nine teams in action, including the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and the University of Wyoming.

Megan Johnson won the 5,000-meter run in her first 5K of the season. Cali Coffman was a winner in the pole vault, while Malory Jones and Taryn Hintz finished one-two in the high jump.

Caroline McMartin posted top-three finishes in the 1,000-meter run and the mile run. 

Central dominated the men’s mile with a one-two-three finish by Will DeHaan, Noah Jorgenson, and Adam Sylvia. DeHaan also won the 1,000-meter run. Triple jumper Brock Lewis finished second and shot putter Thomas Spoehr brought home a third place finish for the Dutch. Drake Lewis finished fourth in the high jump behind three Division I athletes.

The Central track and field teams will return to action in Waverly at the Wartburg Friday Night Lights meet on Friday.
