Fresh off of sweeping the Little Hawkeye Conference meet, the Indianola boys swimming team is back in action tonight in their final meet before districts, going on a road trip to Marshalltown. The Indians are currently ranked 14th on the latest power rankings via Varsity Bound, and third at the upcoming district meet at Johnston High School which will take place on February 5th. Action starts tonight at 5:30pm.

The Indianola boys and girls basketball teams are coming off of a sweep of Pella last Friday, and make the return trip to the Tulip City to take on the Eagles of Pella Christian today in a Little Hawkeye Conference doubleheader. The Indians boys threw their hat in the ring of a conference title after the win at Pella, but will have to overcome a surging Eagles team that has won four of their last five and sit just a game back of the Indians. Head coach Jeff Ebling tells KNIA Sports while playing Pella and Pella Christian back to back is challenging, the Indians need to use the same tactics of playing against the length of the Dutch as they will against the Eagles who feature some of the tallest players in the entire state.

The Indians girls are looking to keep pace with Grinnell and Dallas Center-Grimes at the top of the conference standings, and with a win will be tied with either team as they match up in Grimes. Indianola dispatched the struggling Eagles in their first matchup despite trailing 13-9 after the first, but gave up just 17 points the rest of the way.
Action can be heard live tonight on 94.3 KNIA and Pella Christian YouTube Live, with Trevor Castle and Andrew Swadner on the play-by-play. Pregame coverage begins at 5:45, with tip-off scheduled for 6:15.
