indianola-8

The #9 Indianola boys basketball team traveled to Lincoln Saturday for a non-conference tilt with the Railsplitters, walking away with a 72-67 victory. The Indians had trouble pulling away from Lincoln despite leading for the majority of the contest, owning a 16-12 advantage after the first quarter and used a 14-1 run at the end of the first half to take a 40-30 lead into halftime.

Lincoln continued to claw away at the lead in the third, with Indianola leading just 52-48 going into the final eight minutes, but the Indians executed down the stretch to earn the win. Drew Kingery led the squad with 24 points, while Brayden Drea had 17. The Indians improve to 12-4 on the season, and travel to Newton on Tuesday.
