It took overtime, but the Twin Cedars Girls Basketball Squad pulled out a 41-38 win over Albia on Monday night to wrap up the regular season. The Sabers and Lady Dees went into the extra 4:00 tied at 35, and Albia held a lead with 1:00 remaining in the extra session when Brooke Roby stuck the go ahead three with :40 remaining. Roby led the Sabers with 15 points and Rylee Dunkin had six and Kisha Reed grabbed 12 rebounds. The Sabers end the regular season at 15-7, the most wins since 2012/2013. The boys fell in their regular season finale to Sigourney 79-41. Devin Arkema scored 19 points while Dallas Clark had 13. The girls will host Tri-County on Thursday in the first round of the class 1A regional, while the boys will host Moulton-Udell Friday in the opening round of the class 1A district.
