Whether it’s the upcoming school year or a few years down the road, the Pella School District anticipates growth in the elementary ranks.

Madison Elementary Principal John Steddom and Lincoln Elementary Principal Margaret Kirkwold are excited that Pre-K will be offered in both buildings starting this August, with a more consistent schedule planned and an opportunity for the program to be more localized.

In a more long-term view, both administrators are excited for the new Early Childhood Learning Center, which was approved as part of the November bond issue and should be ready to start the 2024-25 academic year and include full-day preschool options that would include wrap-around care for half-the-day and continued instruction the other half, and the potential for classes designated for three-year olds.

Registration for the Pella Community School District opens March 1st. Hear more about preschool through kindergarten learning options in the Pella Schools on today’s Let’s Talk Pella.
