Indianola Boys Swimming Competes at State

The Indianola boys swimming team had several events compete at day one of the state meet Friday. Nathan Pollard qualified to the consolation finals after placing 10th in the preliminary rounds with a 51.28 in the 100 Butterfly, and just missed qualifying for the finals in the 100 Breastroke with another 10th place finish with a time of 58.97. Matt Coffelt qualified for the consolation finals with a time of 52.70 in the 100 Backstroke to place 10th, and placed 21st in the 500 Freestyle with a time of 4:53:49.
The 200 Medley Relay, 200 Freestyle Relay, and 400 Freestyle Relay teams will all compete today, along with Isaiah Picard in the 100 Freestyle Para and 100 Breaststroke Para.

Indianola Wrestling Heads to District at Johnston

The Indianola wrestling team qualified to the State Dual Meet after taking down Bondurant-Farrar Wednesday night, and will now look to send individuals to state at the district qualifying meet at Johnston High School today. The Indians will be one of eight class 3A teams competing for spots against some of the top ranked teams in the area, with Bowen Downey and Ryder Downey the only Indians looking for a return trip to Wells Fargo Arena. Wrestling starts today at 11am.
