This summer, Kadyn Boyd, a Twin Cedars Student from Tracy, will join high school students from across the nation to take part in the National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF): National Security, at the University of Maryland in Washington D.C. NYLF National Security is one of the Envision by WorldStrides family of programs that enable students to explore their interests and experience learning beyond the classroom. Kadyn hopes to have a career in law enforcement, namely as an FBI agent. She is currently taking a college course about the Criminal Justice System. Boyd tells KNIA/KRLS News she is excited to be able to learn about what she wants to do in the future.

“I’ve just always kind of liked the idea of being able to do something serious to help other people, and then also some of the shows that I like to watch really made me think into what I’d want to do in national security.”

Kadyn was nominated for the National Youth Leadership Forum by Denise McNally, a science teacher at Twin Cedars High School.
