The #4 Indianola girls basketball team is one win away from the state tournament at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines for the second straight year, and tonight they hope to fight through and win the regional final against Bondurant-Farrar.

The Indians had to survive a scare in the regional semifinal against Fairfield, where the Indians shot just 2/16 from the three-point line and had to come back from being down nine points in the second half to advance.

The #13 Bluejays handled Norwalk with ease in their semifinal winning 67-38 after jumping out to a 29-point lead in the first half, and Indians head coach Jeff Janssen tells KNIA Sports Bondurant-Farrar is a state-tournament tested team and will be the toughest hurdle his team has to climb to accomplish their goal of making state.

“Between how great their best players are and how hard all their players play, and how well coached they are, we are not overlooking Bondurant just like we didn’t overlook Fairfield. I’m excited for our preparation and we are going to lay it all out on the line Tuesday.”

The game can be heard live on 94.3 KNIA, with Andrew Swadner and Rick Wilson on the play-by-play. Pregame coverage begins at 6:40pm, with tip-off scheduled for 7pm.
