With the Knoxville Wrestling Season now completed the Panthers now take inventory on how the season went. For the most part it was a successful season in the fact Knoxville had a winning season in dual meets at 11-4 overall, finished 2nd in the South Central Conference traditional meet and in the dual season, and was a top half finisher in most of the meets the Panthers went to. Coach Skyler Spaur tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the guys bought into his way of coaching and expectations, and credits two of his wrestlers that made the State Meet for leading the charge.

Spaur: “Luke and Marco they were good and they’ve been good, but they made a step up especially on their attacks. That shows that if you put in the work, you can get better and anything you put your mind to in this sport.”

Luke Spaur, Marco Alejo and Wayne Johnston all qualified for the State Meet but Skyler Spaur says all three would tell you they fell short in their goals. The good news Spaur says is all three will be back for another year on the mats.
