The Pella Christian golf team traveled to Eastern Iowa Saturday to compete in the Washington Invitational and brought home a 3rd place finish with a team score of 346.

Sophomore Isaiah Breems and freshman Eliot Menninga each finished in the top ten individually in the meet. Breems finished tied for sixth after carding an 83, and Menninga was seventh with an 84. Breems’ performance this season is something that Pella Christian Head Coach Joel Rietema has enjoyed seeing this spring.

“Isaiah has been really strong for us last year and this year, and it looks like the sky’s the limit for him.”

Deacon Branderhorst also finished with a score under 90 on the day carding an 87. Rounding out the varsity lineup for the Eagles was Dane Geetings with a 92, Landon Fransman with a 94, and Zaylor Rus with a 107.

The Eagles return to the course tomorrow at the PCM Mustang Invitational at the Gateway Recreation Golf Course in Monroe beginning at 1 p.m.
