The war in Ukraine is close to home for an Indianola man, after having emigrated from Ukraine. He still has family in the country, and is asking the public for help. Vasiliy Mazurets tells KNIA News he is a part of Help for the Hurting Ministry, which is raising funds, food, and supplies for those still in Ukraine. Mazurets tells KNIA News they will send anything they can to help the citizens of Ukraine, and are at this point helping with money, food and medical supplies to help the military and civilian population, including wheelchairs, walkers, and more after the Russian bombing has depleted supplies that are not made in the country.
