The Knoxville Police Department will hold helmets and hotdogs on Thursday, May 26, from 11:30 am-1:00 pm in the covered city parking lot across from the Knoxville Police Department at 305 S 3rd Street. School Resource Officer Kyle Keller spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about the event.
“This is our seventh year for helmets and hotdogs and it is a way for us to get helmets for kids who don’t have helmets. We will have hot dogs and activities as well so that everyone can have fun.”
The event is geared toward kids from Pre-K through Fifth Grade. In case of rain, the event will be held indoors at Memorial Hall at 320 E. Robinson Street.
