One of the major pieces of legislation that was signed just as the Iowa Legislative Session was nearing its end extended biofuel mandates across the state with strong bipartisan support. State Senator Ken Rozenboom says House File 2128, made Iowa the first state in the nation to adopt an E15 standard and expanded access to higher blends of ethanol and biodiesel. The measure passed the Iowa House with a final vote of 81-13 and passed the Iowa Senate 42-3, and was signed by Governor Kim Reynolds on a family farm south of Prairie City last month.
