The Knoxville City Council approved more storefronts and a Facade Improvement grant this week. Knoxville Economic Development Director Glenn Lyons spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about the grants.

“There were six storefront improvement grants approved. Most of the projects involved replacing windows and doors along with other improvements. Then we also approved a facade improvement grant that is the larger of the two grants for $12,500. This project is to build a facade on the south side of the building at 125 South Third Street.”

Staff is continuing to review applications and more could be brought to the council for approval in July. For more with Glenn Lyons tune in to Friday’s Let’s Talk Knoxville
