The Melcher-Dallas Softball Squad went 0-2 at the Coal Miners Invitational on Saturday losing to Tri-County in game one 11-3 and falling to West Central Valley 3-1 in game two. Tri-County scored two early runs and built an 8-1 lead by the 4th inning. The Saints were held to just one hit while allowing 11 to the Trojans. Saydi Benz took the loss going five innings. In game two against West Central Valley, the game was tied in the 5th when the Wolverines scored two in the 5th, and those proved to be the winning runs. Kasyn Reed got the only RBI for the Saints while Jenna Mickey and Peyton Anderson got two hits. Benz again took the loss going six innings. The Saints host Orient-Macksburg on Monday.
