The Melcher-Dallas Softball Squad’s season came to a screeching halt after losing to Grandview Christian in the first round of the Class 1A regional 13-3. The Saints fell behind in the 1st inning as the Thunder scored six runs and were never threatened. GVCA outhit Melcher-Dallas 155. Paetyn Anderson was the only Saint to get multiple hits with two. The Saints finish the season 12-17. The Melcher-Dallas Baseball Squad will embark on its postseason journey tonight, and the improved Saints are confident they can make a longer run than in previous seasons. Melcher-Dallas drew the 4th seed and will take on Wayne at Sigourney tonight. The Saints come in at 9-14 while the Falcons are 9-11. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00.
