Both the Indianola baseball and softball teams face stiff competition in their regular season finales tonight, the baseball squad visiting North Polk and #7 softball hosting class 5A powerhouse Fort Dodge.

Baseball had their game against Ballard canceled Tuesday due to weather, leaving tonight their final tune-up against a Comets team that finished second in a competitive Raccoon River Conference and has won nine of their last eleven contests.

Softball will take on reigning class 5A state champion #3 Fort Dodge who sports a 32-6 regular season record, while Indianola comes in just as hot winners of seven of their last eight games. Head coach Stacy Evans tells KNIA Sports the Indians are just focused on the now, and are not looking ahead towards postseason play.

Softball starts at 7pm, while baseball begins at 7:30pm.
