The Knoxville Baseball Squad’s Senior Night was ruined not by the visiting Bondurant-Farrar squad, but by Mother Nature as high winds followed by heavy rain chased everyone away with the game in the top of the 3rd inning and the Panthers leading 2-1. The game likely will not be made up due to both teams having their first round class 3A sub state games on Friday. The Panthers did jump on top first with two runs in the 1st inning highlighted by a Trenton Kingery solo shot to right field. Niko Lacona started on the mound for the Panthers. Knoxville will end its regular season with a record of 20-12 and will look to Friday’s matchup in the class 3A sub-state with Pella.
