Counting down the top 10 moments of the Simpson College athletics year of 2021-22, continuing with number 8.

The Simpson volleyball team has been in retooling mode since the hire of head coach KK Palea, and that culminated in one of their best finishes in a loaded American Rivers Conference run in 2021, going 4-4 and picking up a win against conference stalwart Loras. The Storm defeated the Duhawks 3-2, winning the first set before dropping the next two putting them in danger of dropping the match. Simpson won the fourth set in extra points 26-24, then won again in a nailbiter 15-13 in the penultimate fifth set 15-13 to earn the victory.

The Storm made the American Rivers Conference tournament for the first time since 2010, falling to Loras in the quarterfinals 3-2.
