While the remainder of our top ten countdown of memorable sports moments for Knoxville will resume on Monday, here are some of the moments that, while significant, did not make the top ten. On October 11th amidst a frustrating season, Eric Kellar suddenly stepped down as Knoxville Football Coach. In his nearly eight seasons at the helm, Kellar guided the Panthers to three winning seasons and a playoff appearance in 2014 amassing a 26-44 overall record. On May 10th, the Knoxville Boys Golf Squad won the South Central Conference, dominating the SCC by 28 strokes over runner-up Clarke. Evan Smith wins his second straight conference medalist honor with a 73 at Edmundson Golf Course. Finally, on June 23rd, Knoxville Pitcher Beau Leisure pitched a no-hitter against Centerville as the Panthers beat the Big Reds 5-0.

Leisure allowed just five baserunners while striking out nine. On Monday we start the countdown again with #5.
