The core group of Knoxville Volleyball is back this season. Coach Mollie Keitges will return libero Emma Dunkin for the third straight season, also setter Brittany Bacorn, plus front line player Ella Breazeale also returns. Keitges calls those positions the glue players and hopes when they all play well, Knoxville will be a tough team to beat.

Keitges: “Having returners in the Libero position and the Setter position and having Hannah in the setting position. I call those positions the glue positions and having experience in those positions is going to be huge for us.”

Dunkin led the Panthers with 401 digs last season while Bacorn was right there with 323. On the offensive side, Bacorn led with 268 kills and 384 assists, which also led the Panthers. However it is not just Bacorn as Hannah Dunkin chipped in with 260 assists last year. Melanie Sullivan, who is back for her senior year plus Breazeale, a junior, both had 127 kills in 2021. Knoxville gets its season underway next Monday with a home quad against Carlisle, Oskaloosa, and Ottumwa
