The Indianola boys golf team stood out among a crowded field at the Eagle Ridge Golf Course in Galena, Illinois Thursday, securing a 2nd place finish shooting a team score of 311 out of 18 teams across the state.
Preston Bily had the round of the day for the Indians, securing a 2nd place finish carding a 72, Jackson Overton shot a 77, Willie Nelson shot a 79, and Tyler Santi earned an 83.
Head coach Anthony Gallagher said this type of course is one that will prepare the Indians for the rest of the season, and gives the squad a lot of confidence moving forward.
The Indians next golf on Wednesday at Jester Park Golf Course in Granger.
