There was a nice turnout for the “Your Life Matters” race in Knoxville Saturday morning.

The event was held to help raise money and awareness for suicide prevention.

Michaela Bigaouette, one of the event organizers tells KNIA/KRLS News what the event was all about, “It’s always a very emotional day. Not just for me, but for everyone on the board. The people who started this organization started it because they had been directly impacted at some point by suicide, and felt that call to action to prevent this from happening in our community.”

It was the fifth year for the “Your Life Matters,” event being held in Knoxville.
