The Knoxville Community School District and the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce will host a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the grand opening of the new Knoxville Middle School at 4:30 p.m. on September 30th.

On March 3, 2020, the community of Knoxville approved a bond vote to build the new middle school. The project broke ground on March 24, 2021. The site of the new middle school is located to the north of Knoxville High School.

The Knoxville Community School District is opening the building to the public following the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for students, families, alumni and community members to tour the facility. The ceremony falls between the Knoxville High School Homecoming Parade and the KHS Varsity Football game at Ken Locke Stadium.
