Wrapping up regular season Little Hawkeye Conference play Monday night, the Norwalk volleyball team took down Pella Christian 3-1, with set scores of 18-25, 25-18, 25-18, 25-15.

With their win Monday, The Warriors clinched at least a share of the Little Hawkeye Conference regular season title with Indianola. The Eagles, looking to snap their recent two match losing skid, came out aggressive to take the first set of the night. Norwalk would flip the switch from that point forward, becoming the more aggressive team en route to taking the next three sets to win the match.

Norwalk head coach John Fulton said that he was proud of how his team passed the ball and how some girls stepped up with other girls injured. Pella Christian head coach Tammi Wight commented that her squad needed to be more aggressive in the final three sets and they’ll need to find that aggression again ahead of the conference tournament.

Liz Iverson had a great night for the Warriors offense, going 18-18 serving and adding 39 assists. Noelle Sutcliffe had a team high 18 kills while also contributing 10 digs, and Grace Dehmer led the Norwalk defense with 19 digs. P.C.’s Anna DeBoef also had a perfect night serving, going 20-20 with three aces. Chloe Huisman did a little bit of everything for the Eagles, dishing out 37 assists, tallying 11 digs, and adding two kills.

Both Norwalk and Pella Christian are off until the Little Hawkeye Conference tournament at Indianola High School on Thursday and will find out seeding and opponents after the rest of the conference finishes league play tonight.
