Three members of Triumph Martial Arts’ Tournament Team in Pella traveled to Sioux Falls, SD, to compete in an ATA Martial Arts tournament earlier this month. On October 8th, Chase Swenson of Prairie City, Makenna Lewin of Knoxville, and Mason Beane of Oskaloosa, all members at Triumph, traveled with their families to the competition in South Dakota.

Chief Instructor Matt White, 6th degree Black Belt and Master Instructor Nominee, said, “We are so proud of these young men and young lady. They train regularly, put in dozens of hours on the mats each week, and are great examples of how hard work and dedication really pay off.”

Triumph Member Results were:
Chase Swenson: 1st Place in Sparring, 2nd Place in Forms competition, and 2nd Place in Combat Weapons Sparring.
Mason Beane: 2nd Place in Combat Weapons Sparring.
Makenna Lewin: 1st Place in Forms competition, 3rd Place in Sparring, and 3rd Place in Combat Weapons Sparring.

Triumph Martial Arts offers ATA Taekwondo, Carlos Machado Jiu-Jitsu, and KMF-AC Krav Maga training options for families in Marion, Mahaska, and Jasper counties. Triumph will celebrate its 20th Anniversary next year.
