beau-signing

It is every high school athlete’s dream to play at the highest collegiate level. Knoxville’s Baseball Pitcher Beau Leisure will get to live that dream as he signed a National Letter of Intent last week to play baseball at Abilene Christian University. Leisure knows getting to this level takes hard work, but also knows the work will not stop just because he is playing at the high level of college sports.

Leisure: “I think I’m going to be a guy that’s going to come in and pitch, but I know I’m not locked in and still put in the work, and just be a weekend starter for those guys.”

Leisure will enter a program not far removed from a conference championship. The Wildcats won the 2021 Southland Conference title before they moved to the Western Athletic Conference last spring and posted a 30-29 overall record and 14-16 in the WAC but got all the way to the tournament championship series against New Mexico State before falling to the Lobos.
