Hall of Fame Friday is a new event in Knoxville and it is scheduled for Friday, December 16 at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum starting at 10 a.m.

Bill Wright, museum coordinator, tells KNIA/KRLS News what to expect on the big day. It is an event that will be live on Facebook. The day will include announcing the North American Sprint Car Poll Award winners. Next is the raffle car giveaway.

Then it is time for the announcement of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame Inductees for 2023. The Hall of Fame Class is usually announced at the Chili Bowl in Tulsa, Oklahoma in January.

Wright tells KNIA/KRLS News, “This year our board decided that we should do it live on facebook in December, so that’s what we’re going to do, live December 16th.”

Wright said it isn’t too late to purchase tickets to have a chance to win the raffle car. Raffle tickets will be sold until 9 a.m. December 16.
