The Indianola girls and boys wrestling teams host Little hawkeye Conference rivals Dallas Center-Grimes this evening, their first doubleheader meet in school history. The Indians girls are coming off of a third place finish at Newton on Saturday and have had several individual top finishes this season in their first three meets at Ballard, Norwalk, and Newton.

The Indians boys dominated in the Bob Murphy Invitational in West Delaware on Saturday scoring 240 team points against some of the best competition in the state. Head coach Clint Manny tells KNIA Sports the early season success is not a surprise given the hard work the team put in during the offseason.

“We had a lot of guys coming into our open rooms all summer and fall. Guys are committed to the program and the process of it. When you have guys showing up at 6am every day all fall, that’s a pretty good inclination that guys are bought in.”

The girls hit the mats at 5pm, with the boys to follow at approximately 7:30pm.
