The Indianola girls wrestling team is off to a great start in their inaugural season, competing against area and state powers in competitive meets.

The Indians feature just one senior in Lanie Frericks and two juniors in Elaina Merfeld and Sydney Barker, with the rest of the roster made up of sophomores and freshman. The Indians fell to Dallas Center-Grimes in their first Little Hawkeye Conference match, but picked up a fourth place finish at Ankeny Centennial, and a third place finish at Newton.

The Indians will next wrestle at Chariton tomorrow.
