The Marion County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday in regular session.

On the agenda was a discussion regarding Christmas lights on the Marion County Courthouse. Joe Cunningham made a proposal to get permanent lights up, but before the board can take action they requested more information on insurance issues.

The board discussed making repairs at the Knoxville Memorial Hall. Dick Reed made the presentation telling the board a new roof will be needed. No action was taken as Reed was asked to check into the funds available in the Memorial Hall Fund and see what the cost to repair the roof will be.

The Marion County Board of Health Reappointment with Marion County Board of Health member Shannon Remington, term ending December 31, 2025 was approved.

The agenda called for discussion on the Marion County Conservation Board Reappointment. For the Marion County Conservation Board, member Karen Ackley term ending December 31, 2027 and it was approved.

There was a preliminary  FY24 Budget discussion, among other matters.
