The Twin Cedars Boys Basketball Squad is currently being led in scoring by a freshman. Holden Roberts is averaging around 12 points per game all the while trying to adjust to the varsity game after playing middle school last year. Coach Mateo Varese tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he thought Roberts would be a good asset to the team ,but to be this far along is a pleasant surprise.

Varese “He’s really come on and has put a lot of work in practice. When we run sprints in practice he’s going to be the first to finish or in the top three, so he’s really worked hard.”

Varese knew he could be a good athlete after seeing him play baseball and becoming one of the top hitters for the Sabers last summer. Twin Cedars gets back to the court January 5th at Tri-County.
